These film clips (taken on 22/02/04 in mpg format) are of rarely broadcast elements of a ballet event.
The rituals accompany the audience's communication of its assessment of the performance and may themselves echo back the level of appreciation — or depreciation — as assessed by the performers.
Hence they might be described as statements at one and the same time both dynamic and at rest.
